I'd heard this was the king of all oblique pen's for modern calligraphy and oh boy did this deliver. The pen is made with such craftsmanship, it's a true quality piece which will last a lifetime. I love that it's super adjustable so I can get my nib position just right. And I can confirm, the anti-ink finish does work! Honestly, if you're on the fence about investing in this, just do it. It's a piece for a lifetime.
I love my Black Flourish Curve pen! It has a nice balance of weight. I feel that I have more control because of the weight. After watching how to properly insert the nib, I've had no issues with the nib coming loose. I prefer this ****** over the Blackwell Wood Holder ******, which sometimes comes loose.
The way the weight is distributed in the pen makes it WONDERFUL for writing as well as the adjustments you can make for the nib placement. Love this pen! Thank you
I really love my new Flourish Obliques! I normally use a feather-light holder and typically prefer a larger grip, so I wasn't quite sure how it would feel during use. I really wanted to give it a go, however, because I love the idea of not having to mess with the ****** every time I change the nib! I'm so very glad I ordered :). The grip feels great, and I really haven't noticed the extra weight at all. And I love the flexibility of the ****** SO much! Take it from someone who owns over 50 holders - these are my new favorites!
Very nicely weighted and a good ‘feel’. Once you discover how to put a nib in properly, it’s very securely held in place.
Tom still uses the same design principles as the very first pen he made for his wife. It's important to him to create products that his customers will cherish for the rest of their lives. It's why each every one of my products has a lifetime guarantee.

Tools of the past were made by master craftspeople that cared passionately about their craft and the experience of the people using their products. We seem to have lost the 'soul' of these tools in the age of mass production. It's my mission to bring the creative soul back to the tools we use every day.

Seeing his calligrapher wife, Gemma Milly, using a mass-produced calligraphy pen inspired Tom to craft a collection of pens that matched the high quality of her work. Using a 60-year-old engineering lathe, he now makes pens for some of the world’s most celebrated calligraphers and stationery brands.

From the first pen I made for my wife to the pens I now make for my customers around the world. I put the same care and attention into each and every pen. I love what I do and hope that it shows in the finished product.
