The 'One Dip Wonder' really is a game changer. Having to dip your pen in ink half-way through writing can ruin your flow, cause an inky mess and take up your precious calligraphy time.

After months of trial and error I've found the perfect answer to this problem!

The 'One Dip Wonder' combines the perfect size spring with a tiny but powerful neodymium magnet creating a reservoir of ink for your calligraphy pen

All you have to do is pop it onto the back of the nib (underneath the breather hole) and you're ready to go!

As you can see from the video it doesn't stop flowing!

- The One Dip Wonder currently works with larger straight nibs like Nikko Gs, EF Principals, Hunt 101s etc. (Blue Pumpkin and Brause EF aren't currently compatible. )

- Please be sure to clean and dry your spring and magnet after each use to prolong their life.

- We have found that the One Dip Wonder will not work with certain colours in the Finetec metallic ink palettes. Our metallic calligraphy inks and Fountain pen inks appear to work well however. Please be aware of this when ordering.

Love it

It does a great job of holding so much ink. I can write so much more with just one dip. Great idea.

No wonder it’s called the One Dip Wonder!

The One Dip Wonder is a marvellous invention that any and every calligrapher should posses in their arsenal of materials. Easy to use, classy and so useful that I cannot imagine my life without it now that I have tried it!

Amazing little tool

I saw the one dip wonder demonstrated by Maisie from The Modern Calligraphy Company and wanted to buy it. It works really well and I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Tom for this amazing invention

One dip wonder

It’s amazing! Easy to pop on the nib, stays put and truly you only have to dip once. (Well not once ever, but waaay less)

One Dip Wonder

Wow! This little spring and magnet are the bee’s knees! I am a beginner, so just exploring all of my tool options. This ODW allows me to draw nearly 10 times more letters with one ink dip than when not using it. It does require frequent cleaning, just as a nib does, but I find the extra step is worth it.

Why Tom's Studio

Values & Craftsmanship

Tom still uses the same design principles as the very first pen he made for his wife. It's important to him to create products that his customers will cherish for the rest of their lives. It's why each every one of my products has a lifetime guarantee.

Creativity Tools

Tools of the past were made by master craftspeople that cared passionately about their craft and the experience of the people using their products. We seem to have lost the 'soul' of these tools in the age of mass production. It's my mission to bring the creative soul back to the tools we use every day.

Tried and Tested

Seeing his calligrapher wife, Gemma Milly, using a mass-produced calligraphy pen inspired Tom to craft a collection of pens that matched the high quality of her work. Using a 60-year-old engineering lathe, he now makes pens for some of the world’s most celebrated calligraphers and stationery brands.

A Labour Of Love

From the first pen I made for my wife to the pens I now make for my customers around the world.  I put the same care and attention into each and every pen.  I love what I do and hope that it shows in the finished product.
